Okay, so I was checking my email this morning. I got a super hot picture of Alec. :) Anyway so I was about to leave the window when I looked up at the Word Of The Day that my google toolbar does in my gmail account. Well, it speaks for itself.
If you can't see it, it says "gloaming: twilight, dusk." What if Steph Meyer had named her first book Gloaming??? It would have gotten a lot less of a following, I mean we all saw the reaction to "Renesmee" I can only imagine how people would have felt about "Gloaming."

How funny. At first I thought your post was supposed to be "gloating" since you were talking about that totally handsome nephew of ours. I was thinking, no wonder they have spelling tests for college students now. Glad that you explained. And yes, I don't think I would have read a book titled "Gloaming".
Maybe this could be the title for the book from Edward's point of view since he is brilliant so his vocabulary is probably about 100X better than Bella's. He is just dumbing down his vocab when he talks with her. I would read "Gloaming" if it was an Edward book.
You are too perceptive for your own good . . . You know that right? But, sigh :-), I think you're right. Gloaming just doesn't have the same mystery to it as Twilight does.
