This could get messy...

Why did no one tell me it's been almost a month since I last posted?!

The better question, what happened to that month? And the answer to that is...*drumroll*...I'm not really sure. March came and went before I could even say hello and invite it in for a glass of lemonade.

I promise to post soon. But for now, I have 2 exams to study for and a research paper to write. If I don't surface in a couple of weeks... Please send help. I'll most likely be huddled in a corner somewhere rocking back and forth mutterning incomprehensible nonsense about sequences and series and all the different tests for divergence or convergence.

Accomplishments

Scholarship season is upon me and I am madly filling out applications from every sort of trust or fund imaginable. The Lazy K-Five Ranch, Moon/Myers Odell's Furniture, ASISU, and many more will be hopefully funding my college education next year. And they all have one thing in common; an essay. The feared scholarship essay. As I have read through each of them one word keeps staring back and me and is getting more and more dreadful....

Accomplishments.

So what are my accomplishments I wonder. I say to myself "Self, what have you accomplished? You're only 20, how much can you have accomplished?" As I have sat and pondered the following list has come together.

I have grown my hair out longer than it's been in my whole life.

I got my first C on an exam. (and cried)

I have changed majors more than some students change their towels.

I can make cotton candy like it's nobodies business.

I hand out free food to students better than anyone I know.

I have wrecked my car...twice...in one week.

I can shred paper until it looks like there has been a Watergate scandal in my office.

I lose men like I lose chap stick...which is quite often. (wait...is that an accomplishment?)

I am highly practiced in un-jamming copiers...highly practiced...

I can do my supervisor's last-minute online shopping for her husband's birthday like you wouldn't believe.

I'm sure there are more things that just aren't coming to mind. After looking at this I would say I'm quite accomplished. Quite accomplished indeed. But since they are wanting leadership, engineering, and community involvement accomplishments I think I need to work on it. Just maybe...

Now, If I was awesome, I could list something like this as my accomplishment and they would "ooh" and "aah" and give me the scholarship, don't you think?
